Special Olympics August 2011
August 26-28th. Thanks to all who were involved in making the Special Olympics happen this year! Friday the participants played in the arena with some simple exercises and following the rail, then did some drill team type maneuvers. Saturday was cancelled due to very muddy conditions. Then Sunday they had an opportunity to work on a trail course with various stations set up along the way. Each day was followed by a luncheon. Check out more pictures on the Youth page.

Horse 101 Clinic May 7th, 2011 We had a good turnout at the Horse 101 Clinic at the Fairgrounds on May 7th. A special thanks to Dr. Greg Schick and Dr. Dwight Hooton for their informative presentations on Colic and Alternative Medicine respectively and to Petra Christensen and JB for their demonstration on Safe & Confident Riding. We'd also like to thank Boot Hill Tack & Feed and Pagosa Feed & Nursery for sponsoring the event and for providing door prizes as well for those attending. All of the presenters encouraged those attending to call if they had questions about any of the information presented or for general concerns and problems that may arise in the future. LASSO provided lunch following the presentations and people milled around talking until about 1:30pm. Thanks to all of you that attended as well! We hope to see you again at future events. Tim Sullivan & Narrow Gauge Concert June 11, 2011 A big thank you to Tim Sullivan and the Narrow Gauge for a wonderful night of music and dancing to benefit LASSO on Saturday, June 11th. The Pagosa Center for the Arts entertained a full house and everyone seemed to have a good time. And thank you to all who participated in the evening- good food, great music, and the silent auction. Thanks to all of you who donated items for the auction and congratulations to those who took home one of the special selections.
